Dr. Saroj Koul earned a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, a Masters of System Engineering and Operation Research from IIT Roorkee and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University of Kashmir, India. She comes to full-time teaching after 24 years in the industry, at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, India, dedicated to the field of energy-related infrastructure in India where she worked on formulation and implementation of corporate strategy. In addition, she has over 10 years' experience of teaching Management Studies in India and North American Universities. In 2012 she was a recipient of the NATIONAL EDUCATION Awards 2012 under the category Best Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management. In 2013 was Recipient of AIMS-Great Lakes Outstanding Woman Management Researcher Award (awarded Gold Medal at the AIMS 2013 Int'l Conference). And in 2014 she was a recipient of the 2014 OP Jindal Teaching Excellence Award. She has to her credit many refereed publications and has authored books on 'Enterprise Resource Planning' and 'Electronic Commerce' for postgraduate management students. She is an active life member of the System Dynamics Society of India and was on the Editorial Board of its Journal, International Journal of System Dynamics. Currently, she is on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems; International Journal of Electronic Transport; International Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modelling; and AIMS International Journal of Management where she was the recipient of Outstanding Editor for 2010 Award. She is on the Advisory Board of several educational institutes in India, and a member of the Regional Review Board of North America, International Quality Education Foundation where her contributions to the growth of the student community and teaching philosophy are well recognized. Her current research focuses on System Dynamics, Supply Chain Management, and Organizational Communication.
