Senior Research Associate
Mayank Kumar is a doctoral candidate in the Management Information Systems area at IIM Trichy. His research is focused on analysing day to day micro level practices, using practice based approach, to understand the challenges emerged during the implementation and adoption of IT applications across various social and organizational contest. His doctoral thesis delves into the challenges involved in implementing Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) applications, focusing particularly on the resistance it faces from doctors and on various issues around its integration in chronic healthcare management.
His research papers have been published in journals like Journal of Knowledge Management (Ranked A in ABDC) and several other papers are at different stages of his research pipeline. He has also attended and presented his research papers at several prestigious conferences including the two flagship conferences of the discipline—International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). He was also one among the 40 students selected from a global pool of applicants to attend the prestigious ICIS-2018 doctoral consortium held in Pacific Grove, USA.
