Ganesh Radhakrishnan had an outstanding career of 30 years in the Government, and Policy Advisory. He is the leading maritime expert in the country and holds Master Mariner qualifications. He was commissioned into the executive branch of the Indian Navy and has a breath of experience including command on ships, submarines and establishments. He has held senior academic-administrative positions – Commanding Officer of National Cadet Corps Unit, wherein he commanded 4500 cadets and 47 college faculty from 5 universities in South Tamil Nadu, GM in Career Launcher and Director in Shashi Consultancy.
Prof Ganesh has vast experience in the policy advisory and has led the maritime practice in PwC. He is an expert in ports, shipbuilding, ship repair, shipping and the related multimodal transport domains. As Advisor (infrastructure) in PwC, he has led consulting engagements working for World Bank, IFC, national, foreign, state governments and almost all major Indian corporates with interests in the infrastructure sector.
Ganesh is a graduate of the National Defence Academy and has an MBA (IIM Kozhikode) with majors in Operations and Finance, and a Doctorate (IIM Ahmedabad) in Public Systems. His primary interests are in the Maritime sector – Infrastructure Economics, Privatization, PPPs, Project Finance, Economic Regulation, and the use of Public Policy Instruments for Environmental Management. He is regularly invited as an expert speaker in top maritime and energy conferences and writes regularly in the media. He has presented widely in industry, policy, and research conferences in India, USA, Europe and China.
